How Novi Minds Helps Kids & Their Families
Evaluations to understand your child’s learning, social, and/or behavior challenges, specializing in ADHD, Autism, Anxiety, learning disabilities, and behavior.
Includes psychological, psycho-educational, IEE (Independent Educational Evaluation), gifted testing, and Functional Behavior Assessments.
For ages 2-17.
Your child can explore their feelings, develop coping strategies, and build essential life skills to thrive socially and academically in a safe & supportive environment.
For ages 3-6, this is done in a parent consultation model.
Parent coaching using neuro-diverse affirming Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is also offered.
Groups focus on learning and practicing social interaction & self regulation skills to help develop and maintain healthy friendships.
For ages 12-17, the PEERS® program is used.
Expert guidance for parents on IEPs, 504 Plans, and accommodations.
Support for schools and educators in assessments, counseling, behavior consultation, and professional development.
About Me:
Stefanie Rushatakankovit is a Licensed Educational Psychologist, Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), and a certified UCLA PEERS® trainer. With over 20 years of combined experience in schools, clinic, and home settings, she has extensive experience in completing psycho-educational & psychological assessments focusing on autism, ADHD, anxiety, and learning disabilities., and working with children from toddler to teens. She has trained school staff on topics such as addressing challenging behaviors, neuro-diverse affirming practices, and social emotional learning/PBIS. She is a proud alumna of UCLA and Loyola Marymount University.
Stefanie specializes in working with early childhood to adolescence, with interests in preschool, autism, ADHD, anxiety, social-emotional regulation, executive functioning skills, trauma informed practice, and parent coaching. Her training and data driven background combined with her supportive, yet direct approach ensures both parents and children gain insight and are heard. When not working, Stefanie enjoys spending time with her husband and twin boys.
